13 Trees

 

In celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day , 13 Trees was exhibited at the Astoria Art Center in New York City in April of 2024. A collection of illustrations and animations,

13 Trees honored the profound wisdom of nature and emphasized the importance of its preservation. Through intricate symbolism, vivid imagery, vibrant color and resonant sounds, viewers were invited on a journey through time and season. The work explored themes of interconnectedness, subtle harmony, the physical and metaphysical.

 Erana’s work evokes a meditative quality — akin to stepping into nature itself — transporting the viewer fully into the 'present.'
